Vicky succeeded in snatching the mans weapon before he had a chance to attack her. Not only that but she now proudly held the weapon ready to use it. She did however still need to deal with the other two men. As the two large men charged at her she brought one foot back leaning her weight onto her other foot. Right as they began swinging at her she threw herself forward. She flew in between the two men before rolling on the ground. As she stood the other man neared her trying to take his weapon back. “You want your baton back? Then you can have it!” She yelled bringing the baton up hitting him right in the crotch. She stood up just as a baton hit her in the stomach. One of the other men had come up behind to deliver the strike while she dealt with the other man. She reached down with her hand holding it as she jumped backwards away from the men. She was barely able avoid another hit from the men. She breathed heavily in pain from what felt like a very bad bruise. She was reminded of the orphanage in that instant. Back there anytime she got hurt she had to hide it. No matter how bad it hurt she smiled and kept on going. She couldn’t show weakness in front of those kids, and now she couldn’t show weakness in front of these men. “Is that all you jerks got!?! Huh? Think your so strong? Let me show you how a woman fights!” She said looking up with a smirk. She brought her right arm up and prepared for another whip strike. This time a more accurate planned out attack. She had seen before the effects of being hit in the throat. She was hoping this time with more effort she could produce even greater results. She bit her lip holding back signs of pain as she lashed the weapon forward. Her target the throat of the man who had just hit her in the stomach.

Whether she hit or missed she was determined not to lose this fight. These men had pissed her off, and she was determined to return the favor.

As the substance burned into the cop's skin, he found himself unable to regain his footing, clumsily attempting to push himself off the ground. "Hey! Get up!" The police chief shouted, before noticing the appendage attached to his weapon. "Disgusting." He said, attempting to free his weapon from the fishman's grip, but was suddenly taken by surprise by the sheer strength of his opponent, pulling him right in. Glaring at the pirate, the chief grabbed at his throat forcefully, huge fingers digging into his neck while attempting to subdue the enemy with own strength. From behind, the other remaining police officer was sweating profusely, striking over and over at the fishman's spine hoping to finally put him down.

In the presence of the female pirate, two of the officers had fallen already. One, struck in a vital area, lay gasping in the middle of the floor, defeated both mentally and physically. While the other larger man clutched at his throat upon taking a blow from the enemy whip directly into his prominent Adam's apple, before collapsing backwards. The remaining policeman looked shocked at the scene, but it didn't stop him from charging forward once again, relentlessly swinging his baton now that he had gotten right up close to the woman. He was confident now, knowing that that whip wouldn't be so useful in close quarters combat.

Feeling the man's disgusting fingers drive into his throat, Toxus was losing air fast. His mind was racing. Why had the sloth just decided to stand around. Jericho had been spouting off about crewmates and loyalty was that all a lie. Toxus had no more time to spare on sentimental mush. He needed to survive.

In a fair one on one, this cretin would be a push over. But with the other officer mercilessly swatting at his spine Toxus had to do all he could to stay standing. Grabbing an arrow from his side, Toxus gritting his teeth, feels the baton smash into his arm...but he still held onto the arrow. That arrow was going to decide everything. This was quite literally do or die for the Fishman. But he had no desire to die yet.

With his arm still wounded and bloodied, Toxus thrust the arrow forward into the stomach of the police chief. In that brief moment he was able to squeak out "......help...Jericho". Having used all of his strength on that last attack, Toxus falls to the ground unconscious, unable to endure anymore of a beating.

The police chief doubled over in pain, eyes wide and bloodshot, teeth clenched as more and more blood sprayed out from between them. Planting his foot on the stomach of the collapsed fishman, the triumphant police officer laughed and rested his baton over his shoulder. "Damn, I thought he'd never go down. Nice work chief- hey, chief?" He turned his attention to the police chief before noticing the grievous wound he'd received. "No!" He shouted, trying to hold him up, but it was too late. The arrow had run straight through his body, making him pass out from the internal bleeding accompanied by the pain from his previous injuries.

It wasn't long before other marine squads starting showing up around the orphanage entrance, meaning that word of the situation was spreading fast. "What is this nonsense? The sloth? In town?" The captain of the marines frowned while using his den-den mushi, glaring at Jericho through the bars. He was fast asleep, how arrogant, he thought. The sloth must have tired himself out after causing all that damage to the jail cell, but what would happen once he regained his energy? It would be impossible to perform an execution any time soon, and it could take days before anyone arrives to take him away to a real prison. "It's bound to be another of his crewmates, very well. I'll clean up this mess if those damn police officers are too incompetent to get things done." He slammed down the den-den mushi and stormed out of the room, but not before giving the sleeping Sloth one last glare. A young marine saluted the captain on his way out, he had grey hair and dark, serious eyes. "Watch the prisoner, will you? He's sleeping now. It shouldn't be a problem." He left the HQ before the young man could respond. He knew it was a risk leaving the sloth out of his sight, but there was no way he was going to sit idly by while the rest of that damned pirate crew caused chaos across the town. The young man nodded to himself, and made his way into the jailer's room. He'd performed this duty many times before, but never with a prisoner so unusual. The huge dents placed across the cell were already a warning sign, and aside from that, he couldn't even comprehend what the sleeping creature even was. But nevertheless, he took a sit in front of the cell and folded his arms, watching the beast curiously.

So this is what a hangover felt like…

Between the previous day and the rest of the night before, Hikari could not get a wink of sleep, long after he left a bar. He had been powerless against two mink now: the Captain Jericho of the Apex Pirates and the Bounty Hunter Song who seemed to have powerful thumbs for a feline to give him a pinch for being irresponsible Still, his path had not waivered, and they both offered two good bits of advice through how they conveyed their actions when confronting him: Get stronger!

It was paraphrased, but the message was obvious.

Hikari could not sleep with their words going through his head. Jericho’s effortless parry of his kicking prowess made him feel encouraged! He had to get to their level of strength; even if it meant that he would have to stay up all night doing so. That is exactly what he did as he had taken a small little clearing within the field outside and went into a drunken fury practicing his rapid kicks, charges, and even trying to (helplessly) conjure electro. In the end, this had led him to some intense training but no electricity whatsoever!

    My head hurts…

Fatigue has set in longer than usual thanks to the spiked Egg Nog. His eyes were slightly red as the pools of cracked red veins surrounded the sapphire orbs that peered left to right, attempting to find someone who could point him in the right direction. His senses were seriously distorted now that he had to experience the joy of waking up after having his fill of alcohol. A man, tall in stature, ran by at a quick speed going into the town from the nearby building. Before Hikari could muster the strength to raise his right hand to signal his attention, he drooped with a big yawn that caused him to hold it over his mouth accordingly.

“Oh! Phooey!” his voice sour and raspy, “Today is not my lucky day.”

Although the man took off at a speed comparable to a whirlwind, Hikari, sloppy and slumped over as he walked, yawn and decided to head to the nearby building he ran from. Certainly, someone in there was helpful. So, with a slow step, straightening his posture to the best he could, the rabbit-boy walked to the Police Headquarters building slowly as his shoes knocked against the wooden planks. His right hand reached up twisting doorknob as he walked in, and (with all his strength) attempted to let out a bellowing cry.

    “Gooooood morning everyone!~”

It was only right for the captain of the, officially announced, Bunny Pirates to keep up a cheerful presentation. However, that did not last long as he let out a yawn that contradicted his disposition. “Oh, phooey!” he whispered lowly to himself. Apparently, his energy still felt as if it were drained. Looking around to see a single man in a chair near a battered cage, but could not make out the individual inside, Hikari had walked over to the man sloppily as he held up his hand waving.

“Sir! Sir!” the boy chanted, “Can you help me? I am trying to find out where my friends have gone!~” he sung out, expecting for the Police officer to come to his attention.

He may be a pirate, but he was being nice. People like people nice, right?

As he turned around, Sully heard a man behind him shout. "It's him! Quiet. Hey, you! What's going on in there? Aren't you supposed to be in prison?" Sully began to see a group of marines standing outside the entryway. Oh man, it looks like the marines found me. I wanted to stick around to meet the sloth man, but they found me already. Guess I gotta take them down and run.

Sully slowly sauntered out the entryway on all fours with his head down before revealing his full form. He stood on two legs fully upright and raised his arms above his head, looking down at the pesky marines with a deadly glare. Suddenly he yelled at full volume, sounding like a roar.

"RRAAAAWWWWWWR! GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

Sully brought down his right paw with all of his strength, aiming for the head of the closest marine.

Vicky stood confidently as two of her foes lay on the floor. Now all she had to do was take care of the man who was left. Which she thought wouldn’t be a problem at all. That soon changed when the man charged her. She was caught off guard as she expected him to be at least slightly shocked or intimidated. Such a bold move was the last thing she had expected. Previously when charged by two of the men she experienced no problem. Her speed and quick thinking trained through years or thievery gave her many options to escape. Though now she had sustained an injury that prevented her from doing such fancy footwork. Though she still had a good amount of speed it would do nothing. Especially not with that brute rampaging straight towards her. She began to back up hoping to put some space between herself and the man. She raised her whip up just as she began to make enough space between the man and herself. Her hopes were quickly dashed by the presence of a wall behind her. She quickly brought her whip back down defending herself. The officer quickly closed the distance and brought his baton down on her. Vicky did her best to guard the attacks. However his relentless attacks had neither rhyme nor reason making this job hard for her. She took multiple hits on each of her arms. Her defenses were steadily being worn down. At this rate she wouldn’t last much longer. She had to do something and quick. Her strength wouldn’t be able to help her. The man was easily much stronger than. She would have to be crafty if she wanted to beat him. She quickly crouched down to avoid two hits. Then she brought the baton up with both of her hands above her head. As the man began to look down she rocketed up. Using her whole body to push the baton right into his lower jaw. His head moved back as the baton dug into his jaw. Now was the time for her to act. While he was recovering from her attack Vicky moved as fast as she could. Her sore muscles ached with every step until she was behind him. She lifted her coiled whip up, and slipped it over his head. She then grabbed the tip of the whip wrapping it around her hand. She then pulled down with both hands leaning down using her body weight to choke the man. With any luck she would be able to at least knock the man unconscious. She could only hope the man wouldn’t be able to overpower her attempt.

The large man gasped and struggled, swinging his meaty arms in futile attempts to strike at his assailant, but in his panic he failed to realize he could simply try to free himself with his strength. By the time he started trying to pry away the whip, his strength was already sapped and his vision began to fade, passing out from the lack of oxygen. On the other side of the room, the last remaining police officer was lowering the chief's body to the ground, looking distraught at the situation. Looking over, he met the eyes of the female pirate, seeing her drain the life of a man probably twice his size. Upon seeing this, he naturally began running to escape the building, but stopped in his tracks when he ended up trapped between the huge beast engaged in combat, and the other pirate behind him surrounded by the bodies of his allies.

Just outside the entrance, the marine offered up his rifle in defense, cringing as the huge creature's paw shattered the weapon in place of his own head. "Damn! Shoot it now!" He shouted to the dozen other marines that had accumulated outside, and like clockwork, they all began to rain fire down into the entrance of the orphanage. Much of the bullets bounced off the entryway due to relatively small space in between, that this beast was only just able to fit inside. But nevertheless, if the creature remained in this vulnerable position he'd surely end up riddled with bullets.

Vicky fell on her knees breathing a sigh of relief. She was completely exhausted after chocking the man. She was just glad she had finally taken care of the men. Though once she sighed this time with disdain. She struggled to stand as she brought herself back to the real world. Upon getting herself up she latched her whip to her waist before taking in the situation around her. What she saw around her was the opposite of what expected. Upon the number of bodies lying on the floor was one she hoped not to see. Toxus laid unconscious or possibly even dead on the floor in front of her. Of course she had no way to check. She knew nothing about jellyfish. For all she knew his internal biology was completely different from a humans. What if he didn’t even have a pulse normally? Plus what if I’m trying to find a pulse she touched some of the strange liquid that burned holes into the marines. So instead she did what any rational person would have. She panicked completely anger becoming her main emotion. Vicky knew Toxus very little at all. The time they spent traveling together added up to a day. Vicky had never had concrete terms of family or friends. The orphanage was the only thing she knew growing up. During her short time traveling she knew enough to tell what good people her two companions were. Especially after seeing Toxus protect this orphanage with no reason. That was enough she felt to call him a friend. It infuriated her that these bastards thought they could do this. First attack an orphanage then kill the man who tried to protect it. Vicky’s eyes moved rapidly quickly finding the marine she locked eyes with before. She walked towards him unlatching her whip. She clenched it with a tight fist grinding her teeth as she got closer. As she stood at a good striking she must have looked simply horrifying. Her hair was a mess her now bloodshot eyes focused solely on the man. She looked him straight in the eye as she began to speak. She couldn’t help herself from yelling her voice dry. “Who do you people think you are! Barging in here hurting these children, and then hurting my friend! I’ll make sure none of you leave here without being taught a lesson” Vicky strained herself bringing the whip up above her. She unleashed a storm of lashing at the man. Each stroke of the weapon sending incredible waves of pain through her whole being. Tears rolled down her face from the horrid pain. No pain was too much for her to avenge Toxus. Hit or miss, successful or unsuccessful she would soon collapse upon the floor. Only to lose her fleeting unconscious falling. After all it was only so long someone could fight against such fatigue, and pain.

Toxus layed on the ground, oblivious to the world around him. The beating he took from would have brought anyone to the ground, even the sloth. With no idea to what has transpired in the last few minutes, all Toxus could do was wait....wait for his body to recover at least to the point he could wake up.

Toxus was still viable breathing, anyone in the room could see his chest expand and compress if they cared enough to examine him. Breathing was one of the few things both fishman and human alike could do without even knowing. Toxus' breathing pattern may look slightly abnormal to a trained eye from the chocking he had endured from the police chief but he was at the very least alive for now. Unable to do anything but alive.
