"Huh.. there is a lot of them.." Jericho said to himself, peeking carefully around the corner, spying the numerous guards set up around the town exit. He came to the conclusion that they must have been lucky enough to miss them when they came into the village. When he heard Tyler speaking about someone however, his curiosity got the better of him; stretching his neck out just a little bit too far, he was able to spy a hulking figure heading straight for the alleyway they were occupying. He quickly tucked his head back into the alleyway, and, being unable to spot Tyler after hearing his instruction to run, dashed down a completely different street, heading deeper into the eastern part of town.

Dorff's eyes narrowed intensely as he thought he spotted two green orbs, staring out from the darkness. And then upon hearing the clapping off footsteps on the stone pathway leading further away, he let his intuition take hold and began sprinting into the alleyway. His huge footfalls could be heard echoing in the small space, drawing his pistol as he attempted to follow the sounds. At one point, he heard what sounded like another individual running in the opposite direction, but chose to ignore it, instead focusing on the louder sound that seemed to be coming from somewhere much closer. "Pirates!!" The captain bellowed and fired a shot into the night sky, in an attempt to alert the rest of his marine forces to the suspected threat in this part of the town.

Tyler had heard the shot and instantly turned back to the alleyway that he saw the marine with the justice coat in, but knew better to not go back and try to confront whoever it is, what concerned him even more is that Jericho was nowhere to be seen now... Tyler couldn't exactly rush back in there to try and get Jericho as the high-rank is still there, he could only hope for now that Jericho is somehow fighting against him, or he's run off in a different direction, regardless, the town is currently too hot of a marine zone and Tyler had to focus on getting himself out currently, he would hope to meet Jericho on the outside.

Tyler brought out another Bladed Bomb from his pockets, as he found another way to the entrance outside the town, crouching out of sight so the marines guarding the entrance don't see him easily, and it's the same numbers as before... about four of them but this time on high alert with their guns loaded out, perhaps because of the shot from nearby, also Tyler didn't include any of the ones by the street if there were any as Tyler's viewpoint doesn't cover it... he had only one shot at this and decided to take it, he could only hope the best for Jericho to make it out. Tyler pushed in the metal rod into his bomb, meaning it was starting to build up pressure inside, he then rolled it near the entrance for one of the marines to pick it up, by the far left, then it suddenly exploded in the marine's hand, with the sudden bladed weapons coming out of it hitting at least two of the marines, Tyler quickly then ran out of cover and bolted through the opening, not even looking back to see the confusion, after some distance was made Tyler could hear footsteps starting to come after him followed by gunshots with some bullets nearly hitting Tyler, but thanks to Tyler's superior speed he seemed to have a good run on them.

Tyler decided to sprint his way to the nearby forest, not that far off from Sunset Village to try and lose them in there, he dashed through the bushes and would appear out of sight for any pursuing marines for now, and decided to use tall bushes that were around in the forest as a way to hide, and it seems the marines weren't far off as he started to hear some slight footsteps and a bit of bush ruffling, meaning a marine search party reached the forest. He currently stayed hidden in the bush he was at, deciding it's best to just remain hidden until he was forced to get out of the bushes and potentially fight the marines search party.

As Jericho dashed through the alleyway, he continuously looked down various other passages in his search for Tyler. Where had he gone? Did Jericho go the wrong way? "Hold it!" A deep voice boomed out from behind him before he could come to any conclusions. Coming to a stop, the sloth twisted his neck around and set his eyes on the marine who had taken to pursuing him. He was much bigger than Jericho, but it wasn't surprising that he could catch up considering Jericho's average speed and this marine's prior knowledge of the town. "Heh.. is there a.. problem?" He started to say, chuckling while slowly raising his claws up. The marine had his pistol trained in his direction, and looked like he was about to forego arresting him and just pull the trigger. "Don't play dumb, pirate. Though you were foolish enough to come here, either way you're finished." He said sternly and cocked his gun. "Now don't move a-" The marine's sentence cut off as he turned his head away when the sudden sound of gunshots began erupting from somewhere not too far away, was that Tyler? "Nailgun." Jericho quickly muttered under his breath and flicked his claw towards the marine, his hand blurred for a moment just as the weapon's barrel shattered into pieces, leaving only a broken handle remaining in the marine's possession. Seeing him in shock, staring at what used to be his gun, Jericho decided to make a run for it, dashing past the marine towards the sound of the gunsh- CRASH. Jericho's body slammed into the concrete wall surrounding the alleyway, leaving him laying in a crater of broken stone, dust billowing all around him. Captain Dorff's pistol had already been discarded, and the back of his fist had struck Jericho in the side of the head as he attempted to sneak past. "Oof.." Jericho squinted up at the man through the cloud of dust. "That was-" BOOM. Dorff's boot struck Jericho square in the forehead, sending his body deeper into the destroyed wall as if he was hammering in a nail. As the structure began to crumble, the wall eventually gave way and collapsed between Dorff and Jericho, leaving the marine staring at the wall's remains, and the sloth completely buried in rubble.

"Almost got him, he must be hiding now.." Digging a piece of metal out of his thigh, one of the guards grunted and tossed it away, before brandishing his rifle once again. "What the hell was that? It killed the new guys, just killed them! What's with that?" He said, struggling to lower his voice after seeing his fellow marines brutally killed right before his eyes. His partner was slowly making his way deeper into the forest, with his rifle trained against each tree trunk he came across, expecting a pirate to jump out at any moment. "Where's the captain, anyway? He must have been warning us about this guy, but why didn't he come too?" The marine approached his partner, before being shushed. "Keep quiet, he's gotta be close." He whispered, sneaking through the bushes in search for the mysterious pirate.

Tyler could hear the nearby chat going on between the marines, talking about how brutal the death was until he heard them getting closer and closer, with their voices getting lowered. It seems that they know Tyler is very close by, and are going completely silent to try and surprise him, even their footsteps were starting to get hard to hear and Tyler couldn't listen in on them anymore, he didn't move from his current spot either... he could hear some slight bushes ruffling, one by one, from what Tyler could gather it seems they're starting to poke the tall bushes with their rifles to feel anything unusually blunt, in other words they're hoping to poke Tyler to see if he's in any of the bushes. It lasted for several minutes as Tyler just thought many times to just jump out and kill them, but that would send more marines his way and that's the last thing he needed, he could suddenly hear a few footsteps however going together, with a conversation soon after.

"I think he moved on, there's too many tall bushes to check and we've covered a good portion of the forest, if he moved at all, we would've known..." the marine let out a sigh of relief, soon followed by a slight rant. "Who even is he? he must've been the one who threw that bomb... that made the metal fly everywhere, killing some of us back by the entrance, does he have a bounty?" Tyler had guessed he didn't have one, telling by a few seconds of silence. "Not from what I know, but we should tell the captain about the masked man nonetheless, he'll want to know." he then heard footsteps once more but with them continually going away with each passing second, until there were no footsteps. Tyler then got out of the bush and sat down near a tree, putting off his mask and breathing normally. "That was too close for comfort... the amount of times I had to stop myself from just killing those buffoons..." he placed the mask next to him, he started to rest more comfortably on the tree in a sitting position as he started to close his eyes, his rests the past few days were far and few in-between so he's understandably tired, he decided to try and meet up with Jericho tomorrow, as he hoped he made it out as well.

Wiping dirt and dust from his weary, darkened eyes, he finally allowed himself to smile at the welcoming sight of the blue seas before him. Striking at the hardened earth with his claws, the sloth breathed hard as he pushed himself out of the tunnel. He'd come out atop a small hill, looking down on a colorful scene of people rushing about market stalls, getting on and off boats, and there were even some truly massive ships just off the port. Watching as people poured out of the magnificent vessels, he wondered if he'd be lucky enough to sneak in there. Regardless, his escape had been a perfect success. Things would be different now, now he'd have the freedom to do anything, and he'd take full advantage of that fact. He had surprised even himself as he tunneled through the earth, his arms working like some kind of machine. Claws, tearing and loosening the ground as he went on relentlessly. He knew there'd be no going back, but with the speed at which he found himself digging, that wouldn't become an issue. His fur becoming caked in dirt, claws smudged with cold earth and dust threatening to coat his large green eyes.

Suddenly, he found himself in that very same tunnel once again, determined to escape. Or was it? His claws powered forward with incredible force, pushing his body through the collapsing earth each time he extended the tunnel. But as he went on, he was able to separate past from present, and only smiled as the sloth tunneled underneath the building towards safety. That marine really caught him off guard, with a truly shocking display of both speed and strength. However it was foolish to think being hit twice was enough to put Jericho down, he'd take this chance to get out of the town like Tyler had said. He wasn't sure where this tunnel would take him though, he just had to keep going.

Meanwhile, the guards positioned at the town entrance had begun attempting to clear the rubble and bring the sloth into custody, unfortunately for them it'd be a good while before they realized he was in fact still conscious, and rapidly digging away from the scene. After sending the guards to do his dirty work, the marine captain Dorff had met up with the two guards searching for some other pirate "What do you mean, he's moved on? Get back to it!" He shouted in the men's faces, forcing them to continue their search regardless of their belief that he couldn't be found. Sent in the direction where this mysterious pirate was last seen, Dorff stomped through the undergrowth, listening intently for the slightest sound. The men had described the pirate's use of weaponry, was it one of the "Apex Pirates"? Or perhaps that marine-killer that they'd been on the look out for.. either way, Dorff was intent on bringing him in, if anything, he had a knack for sensing his prey. Always alert, with a strong sense of smell and hearing.

But, fate would go on to show that Dorff wouldn't have a chance to showcase his investigative abilities, when a sudden explosion of earth appeared right before him. He looked on in shock and awe, as the sloth from before pushed himself out of the earth itself and began dusting himself off. "You.." He began to say, clenching his fists. Raising his eyebrows, Jericho's eyes darted over to the marine captain and his expression immediately changed. He reacted on instinct, immediately pulling his arm back as the marine dashed forward with his arms at the ready. "Trinity!" The sloth shouted as he brought his claws swinging forward, pieces of earth flicking out from between them as three blades of air hurtled through the forest. Leaves and bushes were torn asunder, branches blown back as the immense force whacked into the marine's hulking form. With his muscles tense, Dorff had brought up his enormous arm and grit his teeth as the blades sliced into his flesh. However, due to the hardiness of his body, it left him with only a flesh wound, small streams of blood trailed off in the wind as he drew closer to Jericho.

    "Hah.."
Jericho sighed and began charging towards the marine in response. "Electro.." He said, feeling the electrical currents beginning to rise up his arms and surround his claws. Thinking back on the "training session" with the Bunny-boy, Jericho grit his teeth and bent his claws forward, increasing the voltage as much as he could while focusing the lighting into his hand, energy arcing across his knuckles. Dorff pushed himself off the ground, dashing to Jericho with surprising speed "Justice Pummel!!" He shouted with intensity, while his arms bulged and appeared to expand, muscles tensing as he thrust his right arm forward to meet Jericho's. CRACK. The air around the two exploded, filled with crackling electricity as their powers cancelled each other's out. However Dorff's arm was momentarily paralyzed, allowing Jericho to push it back behind him. But before the sloth could do anything else, the marine's left fist landed hard in his stomach, knocking the air out of his lungs and sending the pirate flying helplessly into a nearby tree. The marine let out a breath and grinned, seeing his enemy embedded into the tree bark. "Ugh.." Jericho groaned, I need to work on that.. he thought to himself as he attempted to free himself from the broken bark. Dropping to the ground again, he shook his arms and raised his claws, still challenging the marine.

    Later that night
Just as the sloth was about to continue his assault upon the marine captain, his eyes began to adjust to the darkness, revealing an entourage of marine soldiers, each with their rifles trained upon him. After a moment of deliberation, he smirked and slowly raised his arms, coming to the conclusion that at this point, he wouldn't have nearly enough energy to avoid a barrage of shots like this. "Very well.." Jericho grinned at the marine captain, almost mockingly. The captain didn't respond, simply letting out a breath and giving the sloth a dirty look. He could tell this marine wanted to finish things himself, but it looked like he wouldn't be getting things his way. Placing his hands behind his back, Jericho was eventually escorted back into town, where he was placed in one of marine HQ's numerous jail cells for the night, while they decided what to do with him.
